House 6: Libra
In House 6 are diseases, doubts, delays and obstacles. House 6 is about service, daily routines and hard work. Enemies and legal disputes are a part of it, as well as health in general and how well one digests food and detoxifies. It’s a Dusthana house and an Upachaya house. It belongs to the family of Artha houses.
Libra is the field of Lucas’ House 6. Libra is a cardinal sign, masculine, rajasic, Sudra caste and has air as its element. In this sign are commerce, relationships, crossroads of cultures, the weighing of value, fairness and transformation.
Taurus individuals have their House 6 of daily life in Libra. This indicates someone who can potentially integrate their daily exchanges with others in a healthy way and understand the balance between work and rest in daily life.
Rasi Aspects and Prosperity & Annihilation
Many planets Rasi aspect Libra for Lucas. The Moon, Sun, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all send their qualities onto Libra for Lucas. On the fortunate side of things, Venus is aspecting its own sign, and Mercury and Jupiter are aspecting with manifesting qualities. His waning Moon and Sun are bringing a little more difficulty but not in the face of all the positives. When it comes to Lucas’ daily routines and overcoming obstacles, he’s gotten support from his friends (Mercury), his wives (Venus) and mentors (Jupiter).
Prosperity is strong for Libra with 7 points to only 4 annihilation points. This continues to bode well for his ability to grow through difficulties and setbacks.
Venus’ Function for a Taurus Ascendant
Libra is ruled by Venus, and so this makes Venus Lucas’ 6th lord. Because Venus is also his Ascendant lord, it’s an auspicious planet for him even though this 6th house is a difficult house.
Venus as the 6th lord helps him make decisions for higher fulfillment—especially in the face of adversity. When he’s in opposition within himself, it’s less harsh than one might think because of the loving nature of Venus. Venus is about weighing out the value of things, and when it comes to the obstacles in his life, this part of Lucas is asking if growing through those difficulties is worth it.
Dignity, Balaadi, Jagraadi and Shad Bala
Just like in House 1, Venus is in its Own Home, Vriddha Avashta and in Jagrat Avashta.
Regarding the Shad Bala of Venus, its Sthana Bala, Ayana Bala and Drik Bala are all sufficient. However, Dig Bala, Kaala Bala and Cheshta Bala are very low. As related in the Lajjitaadi Avashtas for Venus in House 1, there’s a hard hit from both Luminaries creating innate weaknesses for this crucial planet.
Taurus Ascendants can be prone to self-indulgence that hurts their health. He’s struggled with Type 2 diabetes since his 20s, and so it’s been very crucial that he’s aware of his daily lifestyle choices. Type 2 diabetes is a result of choices, from what he puts in his mouth to how he manages stress.
Lajjitaadi Avashtas on Venus
Venus is getting graha aspects from the Moon to 40 out of 60 points and from Jupiter with 25 points. It’s conjunct Sun and Mercury.
Venus is agitated by the Sun to -96.5 points. The Moon aspects Venus by 45 points. By being in the same sign as Mercury, Venus is fully delighted. All things considered, Venus has 25.5 points in the positive.
When the Sun agitates Venus, one sacrifices the fulfilling parts of life and relationships. Not only did his dedication to his vision for his work contribute divorce, but simply relaxing and enjoying the pleasures of life escaped him. This had real implications for his health.
The waning Moon starving and agitating Venus by a good amount may have had him demand more from relationships than what was reasonable. By Venus ruling Libra, exchange in relationships has been affected greatly by this Avashta. Most who’ve worked with him have experienced “his way is the only way.” His demands may have seemed unreasonable to them. This created more obstacles and delays, especially when he was first taking on the role as film director.
Mercury delighting Venus is extremely helpful. It’s combined his intelligence regarding wealth and creativity (2nd and 5th house matters) with his capacity to make good decisions, especially around delays, debts and obstacles.
Bhava Yogas
It can be seen, again, that Venus’ Kashta count is higher with 34.2 points and its Yoga Judgment score is +3.3 and -12.9. This means that Venus as the 6th lord in the 1st house brings more sorrows than joys.
On the positive side, perhaps the most notable thing is that he’s been skilled in dealing with legal matters, mostly for the benefit of his net worth. On the negative end, with new beginnings he has had obstacles. Digestion afflicted him, and worries and anxiety would overwhelm him regarding the success of his projects. Employees felt like enemies, and this was certainly the case on the set of the first Star Wars film when he was in Britain: the British set crew were constantly undermining him on a daily basis, which really wore on him.
